Two of my favorite bands from recent years. Both bands have a small discography of 2-3 albums, Both are incredible in terms of musicianship, Both are mainly instrumental, and both are very european (I find the music very 'european'... Although Taal's lyrics is in english, I find their music very non-anglo saxon, and of course Anglagard fall into this category for me aswel, both musically and obviously lyrically...),

Tell us who you like most! and make it interesting! No "I like them both" comments!,

 I want BLOOD!!!

Embarrassed

of course you are welcome to share thoughts about both bands aswel!

In order to break the deadlock, Anglagard's Hybris is way better than Epilog but Taal's two albums Mr.green and Skymind are awesome. Hence, the nod goes to the French band.

I like them both, that said, I went with Taal as I consider it more progressive (less retro-Prog).  Great bands; both.

Oh. Very hard to decide. However I've kind of overdosed on Taal a while ago, so Änglagård it is. Quintessential Prog Rock, even if it isn't very progressive.

Taal by a landslide. We must move forward, not backward!

Should you vote if you have no idea who one of the bands is?

Skymind is flawless and the new album, aside from 65daysofstatic album which is already ou, is my most anticipated album of 2007.

Anglargard comparably produced more, "Sista Somrar" and "Jordrok" are brilliant.

Both albums are great, although I enjoy Hybris slightly more.

My Vote is Anglagard

I like Epilog more than Hybris. Wink

Anywho, I'd probably choose Taal even though I listen to Anglagard more.

Quite so.

I'm even tempted in moving Taal to avant-prog *ducks for cover*.

Taal have a new album did you say? Shocked

Indeed. That said, I wasn't too big a fan of their debut, but Skymind was excellent.

AgreedBig%20smile. I'm not a fan of their debut either, but Skymind makes up for it.
