And why?

I prefer: Semiramis "Dedicato A Frazz" because more fresh, present and aged better!!!

To me, the incredible thing about Semiramis is that their lead guitarist and singer was only 16 at the time the album was made/released.   I think the rest of the band was only 17 or 18 years old.    That kind of stuff was typical in 70's italy (ie, teenagers producing high quality prog rock).

Bought Semiramis back in the mid-70's soon after its release; sold it after a few listens because it wasn't much like PFM or Banco or Area, which was what I was looking for back then.  I seem to remember them being less progressive and more hard rock, but I bought and sold a lot of Italian bands' LP's back then, so I can't say for sure. Just discovered Maxophone a couple of years ago, and like it  a lot, even with my much more critical tastes these days.

I prefer Maxophone. Semiramis is a very good band, but Maxophone show a better mix of melodic lines and exciting classical passages.
