Something like this should have appeared long ago.

I've always been mad at EMI for not releasing THE PIPER with at least "Arnold Layne" and "See Emily Play" as bonus tracks. (Or SGT. PEPPER with "Strawberry Fields Forever" and "Penny Lane" as bonus tracks.)

Moreover, to add insult to injury, for about twenty years they never charged less than £12 (which is now around $24!) for these albums in British record stores.

Wonder what they're gonna charge for this new collection!
(Do you think you can wait for a few months, until it appears on Amazon Marketplace?)

Great News! .. I wonder if they are going to do all the EMI releases this way? That would be sweet!

Wonderful - another album that I have to own five copies of - LP, cassette, CD, remastered CD and now 40th anniversary version.

That's gonna be a tough call for me.  I already have Piper and it sounds pretty good.  And I have all of the listed singles and b-sides.  Of course, I nipped back in time to catch them recording the album.  Had to stop a Cyberman invasion at the same time, but still got to enjoy seeing them.
I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

I love Piper, but we'll have to see how much it is. I already have the remastered CD, but I would like those singles/raritys, which previously were mostly on the rarities CD of the Shine On box set.

Looking forward for this as well. Hopefully it won't be too pricey.

Sounds great. The only thing that would have improved it would have been the releases of Vegetable Man and Scream Thy Last Scream. Perhaps those were 68 tunes and are being saved for a Saucerful of Secrets 40th anniversary re mastered edition...one can hope anyway. Big%20smile
