Their album Enter is pretty good.

They are great. You could take this to the "suggest bands blah blah blah" thread.

I avoided them for awhile because I had they idea that they were a second rate EitS. I was very pleased with Enter though, lots of energy. I wish I had picked it up sooner.

He doesn't need to,they are in the archives.
I love Russian Circles, but think they are a little more post metal than post rock.If you like RC try out Tides and a band I have been gushing about for months since being turned on to them...Irepress.You will not be dissapointed.

They are very much different to the other post rock bands out there at the moment. I don't think they use the slow-fast / quiet/loud formula as much.
Very interesting to listen to. |

Hooray for Russian Circles!
I saw them live about a year ago when they opened for Pelican, and as it happens, they were better than Pelican. |

Sadly many people think like that when talking about other post-rock bands Russian Circle's Enter is a solid album! I got my friend into Post-Rock with it and he hasn't turned back. Very aggressive and fast. Excellent for fans of Prog Metal wanting to get into Post-Rock. If you like Russian Circle I suggest you check out Gifts From Enola and Irepress. Both bands are as fast and as heavy as Russian Circle. Both bands are highly recommended! Edited by chamberry - September 11 2007 at 20:00 |
