I've never heard Silvester Anfang, but a quick glance at the albums they've released gives me the impression their music must be demonic. Or maybe a parody of demonic?
As the first review of their album ECHTE VLAAMSE GEITEN was posted today, it seems no more than fair to inform non-Dutch speakers that this title means REAL FLEMISH GOATS!
Silvester Anfang seems to be a Belgian band. Flanders is the Dutch-speaking part of Belgium. It can't be a coincidence that the cover of ECHTE VLAAMSE GEITEN is in black and yellow, the colours of nationalist Flanders (and of the Flemish flag). Not having heard the music, I wonder what sort of lyrics it has...
The song titles can be translated as follows:
1. Demonic Agriculture (as you probably guessed!)
2. Satanic Snake Destroys Earth
3. Might I Play with your Violin?
4. Storming Mt. Doom
I also wonder about the band's name, which sounds German rather than Dutch. "Anfang" means beginning. "Silvester" is a boy's name, but more likely it means New Year's Eve...
Any comments would be appreciated!
