I've always thought Empire superior to Mindcrime.

In response to the Progtologist, Queensryche weren't prog on the EP, but Maiden weren't prog when they had Paul either. NOTB brought in prog elements; so did the Warning.

Although both bands are much closer to traditonal heavy metal than to prog metal, both have enough progressive elements and influence on modern prog metal that their inclusion is a no-brainer.

I totally agree with you,but was always puzzled at QR's music being considered prog metal. It's more "prog-related" if you ask me.

On top of that lots of times it sounds more like hard rock than metal to me.

I didn’t realize that in order to be considered “prog metal” you have to copy every note from museWink… for my taste; from the very first ep till promised land, Queensryche is 100% prog metal

There's a lad on the ProgPower forum who reckons that 'Tribe' is their best.... I ought to show him this poll....LOL
Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson
