That was hilarious.

From a marketing standpoint, it was a poor commercial though.

I wouldn't have noticed, all I know about advertising comes from a "Create your own political ad" video project in high school.

What made it poor marketing?

It tells me nothing except that I might look silly in their car.

Well, I can still relate to it, because today when I was driving to class I spontaneously made up (and sang out loud) a progressive metal song about the meaning of life.  LOL

I just saw that commercial on TV.

Also, I was watching the God awful Tigers' - Twins game today and they did a flash of highlights for Miguel Cabrera's Triple Crown chasing season to the soundtrack of Headlong Flight. Headbanger

Rush are finally nominated as a candidate for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  Election to come in the future.  http://news.yahoo.com/rush-public-enemy-among-rock-hall-fame-noms-040619637.html  Also included are Deep Purple, Procol Harum, and Kraftwerk amongst many others.

Neither is KISS.......Its just a club made up mainly of RS magazine fartheads. Its why you see so much hip/hop and rap artists on ballots now since that is the main genre they report on now in their magazine.
And the voting is just another way to create controversy to sell more magazines.....It would not surprise me if Rush and DP did not get voted in.

Agreed. It has become a meaningless money maker. That's it! No integrity what so ever. I am one who wishes that Rush does not get in there for the simple fact that Rush has always been about integrity.

I am sure if it were up to them they would prefer not to be...but its a vote and they have no say so. I really hope they do not pull an Axl Rose and send a denial letter as he did........Those things never turn out well and always go against the artist as bad taste. At this stage in their careers, they certainly do not need the RnRHoF.

They have already been presented the Governors Award in Canada which I am sure is light years more prestigious and carries much more weight than RnR HoF induction.

I believe they will probably send an acceptance letter or video for the concert next year, since they will probably be touring still, assuming they get voted in. And in their classy way accept the induction and go on from there.

RUSH is incredible. I mean they have (in my opinion) about 10 albums that are really really good. Ok....maybe not good....great!! Yup. That's the word I'm looking for. Rush is by far the best band to ever come out of Canada and because of them I'm not so embarrassed by Canada's music scene all together. Lol. There is RUSH....then there is those other bands.
