For me the first true PM album.
But this is only my sentence. Not the Biblic sentence. In every case a big Masterpiece In this album I prefer "Exodus" because... I cry from the emotion Every time that I listening "Exodus". |

I was going to message you Lady In Black to compliment you on your review of my favourite prog-metal band's monster album "Awaken The Guardian". Great job! My choice is "Guardian" followed by "Prelude To Ruin". John Arch is amazing!

I disagree with AWAKEN being FW's first prog-album.. It's proggy, but the true first prog album comes from the Alder era... PERFECT SYMMETRY.....

I agree with The T about "Pefect Symmetry",a much more progressive affair.

I personally think it's in the overlooked "No Exit"...side one has rapidly changing riffs and time signatures in at least half the songs, and there's no debating The Ivory Gate of Dreams |

For my point of view "Awaken The Guardian" is the first Prog Metal album like Rainbow's "Rising" and "On Stage" are the firsts two Symphonic Metal albums.
Another point of view is the mine. But if you don't think that Vanilla Fudge is the first Heavy Rock band with Iron Butterfly? |

What a tough choice, I love almost any single beat of this album. I would prefer an "all" option, the most. Maybe Exodus stands out the most.

Hahaha, yeah I would also like a 'select all' option!
One of my favourite albums from one of my favourite bands. Every song on it is a winner - thouroughly addictive listen! I voted for Guardian. I guess it's the obvious choice cos that song (along with Exodus) contains all the elements that make 'Awaken...' such a classic. I love John Arch's weird singing. Even though his lyrics are bit, well, odd at the best of times, he puts a ton of emotion into it. "The machine it sparks her eggshell mind' |
