theyre brilliant. does anyone agree? theyr esort of progressive you might argue, im not sure how I would go about doing that haha, but im sure you could. Also steve wilson is a huge fan of theirs, he describes their album the fragile as a masterpiece [as I do]

Prog not, progressive for sure, the essence of all humanly masterliness DEFINITELY. (I'm probably the biggest fanboy around hereEmbarrassed)

Have you heard Year Zero Yoel? I think it's their best since Downward Spiral.
The Fragile is great, but not my favorite. For me it's like this:

1. Downward Spiral(my favorite non-prog album)
2. Year Zero
3. The Fragile
4. With Teeth
5. Broken
6. Pretty Hate Machine(still love it but it's a little poppy and naive)

I have only heard With Teeth when it came out a few years ago and can't remember much of it. Downward Spiral is on my "to buy next" list though due to Ansen's recommendationApprove

The Fragile is amazing, and their new one isn't bad either.  With Teeth was horrible, though.

Didn't that fella add all the unnecessary clitter-clatter to Bowie's "Earthling"?

EDIT: Or at least greatly inspire it?

It was just like everything that made NIN good was missing on that record.  There were 1 or 2 good tracks, but completely lackluster otherwise.

Still has the emotion and atmosphere... a few weaker songs(Hand That Feeds is Trent's Disco Queen, but it's still fun) but overall I quite like itEmbarrassed
Year Zero is a hell of an improvement anyway.

Year Zero is great!

I have to admit I really got caught up in the pre-release campaign with all the leaked tracks and viral videos.  cool stuff!

Officially progo or not I still like NIN and have all the albums.  Maybe a guilty pleasure for this prog nut.  Tori Amos anyone? Big%20smile
By the way, regarding the search feature, it hasn't been totally reliable for me.
How much NIN have you actually listened to Ivan?

This is an appreciation thread Ivan, no one is asking for them to be included

Anyway that's quite a bit you've heard, do you like it?

No Miracle, i was asked by another member how many albums UI had heard.

ISome is good, others are too poppy, but in general terms is a good band, nothing I would buy but when you can listen the albums for free to tell your opinion to the people of the station, it's OK.

Peter Gabriel III

Thanks for answering my question. Big%20smile

I'm listening to Year Zero right now,  Maybe they could be added to Art Rock subgenre? LOL
