I've just been reading about Ronnie Hazlehurst and how the theme tune to "Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em" spells out the show's title in Morse code. The article also states this

"Other pieces of famous music use the same Morse code trick.

Barrington Pheloung hid such messages in his music for, rather aptly, ITV's Inspector Morse. He included names that either revealed the killer or threw people off the scent. There are also theories about music by artists such as Rush and Roger Waters. "

Anyone know anything about this?

Yes, I've heard that if you play any Rush album backwards it comes out as listenable music Wink

That's just a testament to their brilliance: even played backwards it's listenable.

YYZ is supposedly named after the Morse code beat of the drumming from the intro.

YYZ =   -.--   -.--   --..

Listen close and you can hear it in the song.  Although I think Neil inserts another note between 'letters'.

Morse code in prog. Good one. All that springs to mind is the ...---... S.O.S signal throughout Hawkwind's "Spirit of the Age".

Watchtower also used the s.o.s. in their song Mayday in Kiev on Control and Resistance.

Do they still live at the airport?  For some reason, I would have expected the guys in Rush to have a little more money than to have to sleep at the airport.  I hope they can at least afford boxes.  Tongue
I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?
