I only know the 2-disc anthology, THE DUST BLOWS FORWARD, virtually all of which is excellent. I'll be curious to learn more!

Would you like to watch TV, or get between the sheets, or contemplate the silent freeway, would you like something to eat?

Well, his masterpiece is surely Trout Mask Replica (and the cover is one of my fav ever!!! Big%20smileBig%20smileBig%20smile), but I loved also Safe as milk (9/10) and Strictly Personal (8,5/10).
Mirror man is maybe too long, but still really good, and mad as usual.
A great artist, no doubt about it!

Shiny beast was a close second (love the trombone!!!), but overall I went for TMR. Ice cream, Doc, and Lick are all good as well.

TMR.

The anthology is a good start for those who are not familiar with his work.

Safe as Milk and Doc about the same.  I just couldn't get into Trout and I really like weirdness in music.

Those are actually the only three I have thanks in part to my being unable to get into the Trout.  Safe is a fairly recent acquisition and I'll probably be checking out the rest because I really liked it.  I had Doc since the LP age and always enjoyed it making love to a vampire with a monkey on my knee.  Yeah baby!

Lick My Decals Off, Baby, closely followed by Troutmask, Shiny Beast and Doc.
