Check this Chilean band PLATURNO at:

Obvisouly, a very good entry for the Archives. This band's heavy prog style is enriched with elements of space-rock and melodic jazz-rock. Their debut album "Núcleos" has just been released by Mylodon Records.

Let's just leave Boston ands Morricone alone and get focused on the obviously progressive bands that shouldn't get ignored one more second... PLATURNO is definitely one of them.

    Kind regards.

Hey Cesar Inca, I listened to Platurno and like, mostly, what I hear. I could even say it's a good band for Eclectic Prog, though the heavy and space elements are nicely folding themselves (so perhaps a deep "evaluation" could be made).

Anyway, this band is probably in the books for an addition.

After listening to the tracks,  I think it sounds suitable for Eclectic.

Great news!! And just in time before this band makes their first international performance at BajaProg 2008!! Hopefully, PA will be a relevant asset at promoting this band beyond their Chilean frontiers.
