Wow, checking the sample of this big song left me addicted. Apart from a party-like section that is a bit out of place, the song is fantastic and some of the best neo-prog I ever heard (mind you, I'm not a fan of that subgenre at all).

does the album ""escaping from the hands of God" hold that high level of songwriting?

Absolutely. And it not only holds that high a level in songwriting, but musicianship also.Escaping from the Hands of God is an amazing album and I highly recommend it.Prophet in a Statistical World is good also, just not on the same level as EFTHOG.

They are one of my favorite Neo bands.Thumbs%20Up

I second that, Escaping is slightly the better of the two albums IMO, but both are fantastic, with Babel Lights an absolutely briliant track. Have yet to hear the first album though, released unde rthe name Sens, but its on my list.
Spending more than I should on Prog since 2005

Yes, check my review if you haven't yet. Big%20smile

I think Prophet in a Statistical World is inferior, surely. Many prog fans would love Escaping, however.
