Hi threefates.

We do everything over the internet. This is basically a studio project and we swap a variety of tracks back and forth.

So the lead vocalist you're looking for will need to have somewhat of a studio in their home also??

Is everything that you do over the internet? Is everything written by you guys or is it a sort of democracy in the writing department?

threefates - yep you would defintely need to have a home recording setup or have access to a studio.

topo - currently everything we do is over the internet. While Steve writes almost all of our stuff, other members do contribute songs and we all have a hand in bringing the material from it's initial idea stage to the finish song.

What is the best affordable recording software? Are there any free downloads of anything over the web. I'd like to try to give it a shot. My voice ain't the best, but I try and I have fun and don't take myself too seriously.

Don't you guys already have a singer? Or are you looking to expand the vocalist position?

topo, I started out with n-track (www.fasoft.com), it was pretty reasonable at around $39. Not sure what they charge now but I think it is close to that. There may be some free ones. But n-track was well worth it.

Actually, today we are very pleased to announce the addition of Rod Chappel to our lineup as Vocals/Bass. Rod has been the bassist for the band Lightspeed and we are very proud to have him join us in this project.

We have other projects that we will be working on that will not be so much in the prog genre, so if your interested, we would still like to hear from you.

If you are interested in learning to collab via the internet, you might check 'Artist Collaboration' (www.artistcollaboartion.com) or 'Recording Project' (www.recordingproject.com), 2 very good collab sites with lot's of folks who will help you out.

Cool. Sounds good. What sorts of other projects are you doing/going to be doing?
