And then of course burn the church down, have the lead singer commit suicide and the bassist make a soup out of his brain and a necklace out of his skull, then kill him and drive away listening to dead can dance LOL

(ps, that really happened)

Man, I'm so excited!

I'm going to get this album the day is comes out. It sounds really, really, great. I almost died laughing when I read the church organ part. That has to be the most metal thing I've heard today. Big%20smile

Oh man, if the church organ is anything like Close to the Edge I am going to be so psyched.  This is very exciting; most of the bands I like aren't producing albums anymore.
The goal of music is to transcend notes and rhythms, to transcend music; To become more than itself, a world set apart from mundane experience.

In the Ghost Reveries documentary, there is a short moment with Per and Martin Lopez playing some jazz, and I liked the sound of it.

It's all about the atmosphere created, and GR created a much more intricate and powerful atmosphere that any past Opeth records.

Exactly.

agreed

Yeah. I also didn't like the way the interviewer suggested that dark music and progressive rock are mutually exclusive.
