SONS OF ALPHA CENTAURI is an impressive band from UK. They have an eponymous album released Nov.2007, mastered by James Plotkin(Khanate, Sunn 0))), Earth) and with cover design by Seldon Hunt (Isis, Neurosis, Pelican, etc). They play something between Heavy Prog (obvious RUSH influence) and Post-Metal, I wonder which category would they fit better...Anyway, listen, enjoy and comment!

Hmm, had a quick listen. Doesn't sound as experimental and progressive as they think they are.

Well, yes, there's more stoner in this prog rock, but there's also a strong RUSH flavour to it...if only RUSH were on acid

Does it have psychedelic references, or does the stoner rock in them refers to their heavy sound? If its the later then I would suggest you forwarding this to the  Prog Metal team.

^^^ If the team rejects them and feel that they're too psych for the Prog Metal genre then bump them to the Psych team to see what I can do. Smile
