The list looks pretty good so far. I'm a bit confused by Quadrophenia and Tommy being so low on votes, and I think that Train of Thought and Octivarium should swap places, but aside from that, I'm liking what I see. I'm guessing #1 is Wish You Were Here, Thick as a Brick, or one of the main Genesis albums, but I could be wrong...

For those of you like me that have a hard time waiting for results, you know that this is a 2 album race for the top spot.  I think the album that will win actually got zero #1 votes, but was on 20 people's list and 13 top 20 votes.  We'll see.  kenmar

My thoughts exactly!  I realize that everyone has subjective opinions, but this seems to be a rather glaring omission if 24 people submitted lists and Quadrophenia only showed up on 3 of them.  Shocking!

Only a few that I've voted for have popped up so far. I suspect all the big ones will be the top 50 or so and the bottom of my list wasn't shared with many others.

I also wonder how many of mine won't be present on the list.

I'm very embarassed, I forgot to put Quadrophenia on my list.  I found the poll at the last minute and put together my list quickly. Quadrophenia would be in my top 20.  Sorry, kenmar

I think doing this yearly is a good idea/one taken directly from the forum that I took the idea from Wink so yeah that'll probably happen. My lack of internet connection has been keeping me from posting but I'm doing my best.

One of the interesting things to me about this list is the juxtapostion (sp?) of classic albums that I have been listening to for 20+ years with recent albums. Case in point with two albums I personally know very well are Blackfield 2 and Minstrel in the Gallery.  Blackfield 2 is something I been listening to a lot recently and I love it, loads of beautiful mellotron, great lyrics and SW's melodies but seriously higher than Minstrel in the Gallery at 305 vs. 354.  I saw Tull in 1978 and when they played the song Minstrel in the Gallery it was nuts, just crazy explosive energy. Plus Baker St. Muse and other great songs.  Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying new prog isn't deserving of high scores, it's just weird to see those albums rated higher than what I consider classic music from my teenage years.   Kenmar

If you think that's bad, just wait until you see the top 100 Wink
I was surprised with certain albums and certain bands getting a huge reception and even more surprised about the classic albums left in the dust. For example, one of the top 20 albums of the site received a grand total of 6 points in this list. It's all really interesting.
