Topic: Japanese Le orme miniLP question... Posted: February 11 2008 at 18:30 |
I recently bought 4 of these off of ebay, and for the life of me, Felona e Serona doesn't sound like it is remastered. The other 3 (collage, contrapunti, and Uomo) all sound fine. Does anybody else have these mini lp versions and notice that? maybe it's just my ears.......but I really had high hopes that felona would sound noticably better...

it is on Philips label. it comes in a cardboard gatefold sleeve with a nice gloss over the cardboard. The obi-strip also says " European Rock Legend Series". from what I had heard, these were re-released this past New years in japan, for a very short time and sold out.....thanks for any help

I take it is this one, or something similar?
From this website, http://www.minilps.net/japan-mini-lp/le-orme-uicy-9116-felona-e-sorona.html#content , it says there is a Universal release:
UICY-9116 (2001)But I don't see anything mentioned about it being re-mastered. A good place to ask about these things is at the Progressive Ears forum (www,progressiveears.com) where there are several people who know a lot about these things.
Sorry I couldn't be more of assistance; I'll keep looking to see if I can come up with something.
