Hi,

Here's a band that's beign criminally overlooked within the prog community.Demon Fuzz,7 afro brits mixing jazz, funk, afro beat and prog! These guys are even proggier than fellow contrymen Osibisa.Long tracks with lots of organ and guitars intertwinning atop horns, flute and percussions.

If Santana,Osibisa and Traffic are on PA so should this band. They released their sole album in 1970,entitled Afreaka!.Check it out:

For me (but based on the lone track to hear), they're worthy of inclusion.Thumbs%20Up but where???Confused

Proto-prog, JR/F (thereis a brass rock dimension) , heavy prog or psych?????

They've been submitted to the attention of Ricochet (Eclectic Prog), and I will also give them a listen when I get home later this evening. In any case, we'd be grateful to Alain if he could provide a bio for when they get added, and he'll be credited for it at the end.

Mmmmm...I think maybe jazzrock/fusion would be adequate, although that dosen't do them justice as they were much more than that.

Wasn't there a section for bands such as Osibisa,Santana,ect ... called world prog?

Glad to see i'm making you guys discover such treasures. There are many more to come!!!Tongue

Indeed Raf, for me Eclectic doesn't sound right!! I'd go for JR/F, because of the solid brass section >> all brass rock groups are in there.
