I was on the AllMusic website and they had an AllMusic Blog called Mike Patton 101.  All of you Mike Patton fans are probably well aware of everything there, but I thought that it might be of interest so I created this thread to attach a link.  Let me know what you think.

I find it impressive that they completely ignore his Zorn projects, which comprise some of his best work.

It's a nice overview of his works, especially for newcomers to him, although I agree with Jake that his Zorn collaborations shouldn't have been ignored.

Well, at least they mention that the Zorn collabs did exist even if they didn't do a full thing on them.

Speaking of which you should really check out Astronome; Patton with Joey Baron and Trevor Dunn, Zorn acting as composer/conductor but not actually playing.

I love Six Litanies, that one's next on my list. 

BTW, would I like Moonchild, Songs Without Words if I like Litanies?  I read a lot of mixed reviews.

Litanies is pretty much an extension of Astronome, except I like Litanies more. After many listens, I'm totally in love with it. Heart

I figured that much, from what I read.  Astronome has been one of my top priorities since I heard Litanies.  I guess I'll grab Songs Without Words after that, because apparently Astronome is an extension of it.

Don't get me wrong, Astronome is great, and it has even a bit more dynamic range, but Litanies has more textural diversity. The sax and the organ and the female voices aren't there.
