Amaaaazing stuff!

I'm reserving that WE for France's gastronomic capital, Lyon.

BTW, it's also been the country's football capital for thast seven years!!!

Good news

I think I'll be able to get there on 24-25 of may, if I achieve my school testing!

Lyon - Gastronomic Capital? Nah, I'm with Urs Blank on this one, Bordeaux has much more to offer, as do some nice small places in either Alsace and Provence.

When it comes to wines, i prefer the Burgundy region for sure, but as far as Michelin, I prefer to make my own mind.

Gee I didn't know we were playing in Lyon or that we were playing 2 dates there. I just knew I had to show up in Paris early to mid May....

Anyone know of a place for me and Blegvad to stay?

Salut Lisa,
first a big hello and myself and a lot of fans will be happy to see you on stage for the presentation of the faboulous 'Kew Rhone'....in fact the place is not Lyon itself but a small place called Bourgoin-Jallieu about 30 km ouside on the countryside! Normally in may this is just a gorgeous area to be! I spoke to Aymeric Leroy last saturday and he is looking for a nice hotel near the venue. As for Paris, I will ask Aymeric if he had already booked something for you and Peter...otherwise I can check out myself, if you give me the dates
à bientôt

Martin

merci bien Martin,

and thanks also for your kindness and the information

the Paris dates depend on finding a place. Peter and I both had places to stay but they both fell through

if a place were available for the entire month of May I'd be there

maintenant, I have a ticket, a downloaded copy of kew.rhone., and a sense of humor

eventually I'll need digs and a hot dress (dress not your purview, of course)

Yours,

LH

Lisa,
if you are looking for a hot dress Paris is not the worst place, even so NYC isn't so bad either.Wink

BTW I just got a mail from Aymeric Leroy....the concerts will take place friday  23/05 ("The Lodge") and saturday 24/05 ("Kew Rhone") in Bourgoin-Jallieu (Lyon), the accomododation on place  during the concerts and the days before are taken in charge by  Aymeric, (You can contact him  under [email protected]), but not your Paris stay. If I hear from a available free flat  in Paris I let you know....Are you in contact with John?

à plus

yes but just very brief, occasional, fun late-night wine-soaked love letters... not much information...

he told me he couldn't possibly change any keys...

I told him I might change some melodies...

c'est tout

kidding about the love letters

I am invisible   very bad correspondent   worse with the phone    drive John mad

Peter B and I are asking around also re royal rent-free accomodations. wish there were more ways to say
'thank you' 'thanks' 'merci'

I would so, so very much love to see this, and Kew Rhone is one of my favouritest of favourite albums.  I don't think I can make it, though I'd love to take the family on a trip to France.  I definitely live in the wrong place.
Just a fanboy passin' through.

I am confused. (not surprising) Is the last day of the festival the 25th of May? or the 24th? Who is playing on the 25th?

Hi Lisa,
it has been a little confusing as the deadline of the organisation was quite late, but this is now the official venue/ticketsellers announcement,:

23/05 (20:30) TRIBUTE TO ROBERT WYATT ,price 11,70 E

24/05 (20:30) CANTERBURY LEGENDS + KEW RHONE , price 19,70 E (with reduction 16,70)

meaning the last day is saturday 24. So day off for you on sunday and  time to test the local wine production!Wink
