Dear All,

Some more VERY exciting news for 2008! Flushed with the phenomenal success of last year’s gigs ... we are going to do some more!!

Firstly we are delighted to say that we have been invited to headline the opening night of this year’s Rotherham Rocks festival presented by the Classic Rock Society. This takes place on Friday May 16th at the Herringthorpe Leisure Centre, Rotherham, Yorkshire.

The following night we are returning to the Peel Club in Kingston, Surrey by special request. Those of you who came along last year will know what a great night that was!

Ticket Info is as follows:
Fri 16th May: Rotherham Rocks. Tickets GBP 20 (GBP 16 for CRS members) available from 01709 702575 or via http://www.classicrocksociety.net, which has more details. Please note, there are two other bands playing on the Friday, as the event starts at 6pm: For Absent Friends (from the Netherlands) and Touchstone. The Rotherham show is in a relatively small venue, so with two other bands' fans and lots of Classic Rock Society members wanting tickets, a good audience is anticipated. Tickets go on sale next week, so we advise you to book early!

Sat 17th May: The Peel, Kingston-on-Thames. Tickets GBP 10 in advance from the venue via credit card on 020 8546 3516, or by sending a cheque payable to 'Peel Leisure Co' to 160 Cambridge Rd, Kingston KT1 3HH. http://www.peelmuzik.com Also check out www.myspace.com/houseofprogression for gig details, local accommodation etc. Tickets go on sale this Saturday – Jan 26th – and as it was almost full last time we would expect that it could easily sell out (given that it will be the only London / Southern gig this time).

Incidentally, the second night of the Rotherham Rocks festival features Martin Turner’s Wishbone Ash, a band I have very fond memories of – having promoted one of the dates featured on their Live Dates album back in 1973! But enough of them – and back to us...

The TN line-up will be as last year (we all had so much fun doing the shows) and Mark Spencer insisted his TN career just couldn’t end after just two gigs! Talking of which...

As we are ALL still trying to emerge from the mass of work we left unattended whilst doing the last shows we haven’t got any definite news at the moment regarding the DVD / CD releases of the Albany concert. Suffice to say we are working on it – and obviously we would hope to have them ready for the new batch of gigs. This would seem another good opportunity to thank all those people who made the November 2007 gigs so memorable. Many, many, people gave freely of their time, and without their support it simply would not have been possible or anything like as enjoyable.

Kind regards,

Brian Devoil

Hi Everyone,

More fantastic news !!

Twelfth Night are to headline the 10th TIANA FESTIVAL in BARCELONA on Saturday 24th May 2008!!

This will be the first time that Twelfth Night have played outside of the UK since Marburg, in Germany, way back in 1984 at the end of the Art & Illusion tour, so this really is quite something for us. Hopefully, this will also allow fans from even further afield than Spain to come along and share in the celebrations!

We were originally approached back in 2004 with an offer to headline the 6th Tiana Festival. However, with Clive having emigrated to Australia, it was simply impossible to reform. Instead, I went along myself to do a set of TN material, backed by a young and talented band from Badalona: The Knife. We performed This City, Piccadilly Square, First New Day, Art & Illusion, Love Song, and Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb, and got a wonderful reception. Maybe some of you were there! Coincidentally, The Knife will be performing their own material this year, just before TN take to the stage.

During the interim years, The Knife together with those who organise the Tiana Festivals have become my dear friends, and I have frequently been asked about the possibility of a Twelfth Night reunion for the Festival.

In 2007, I was again invited as a special guest and performed Love Song on piano as a tribute to the late Xavi Petit, part of the Tiana team, friend and big TN supporter. And now at last, in 2008, the dream of bringing the whole band over is coming true!

Tiana is a very pretty village on the outskirts of Barcelona's capital, lying close to the Mediterranean Sea. The festival will take place in the Teatre Albèniz, which has it's own adjoining restaurant, bar and terraza. So there's no need to miss a second of the action with everything so close at hand!

This year's event features a number of well known European bands. To date, we can confirm the participation of the following: The Knife (Spain), CAP (Italy) and Difícil Equilibrio (Spain). The first band will be on stage at 4pm.

Tickets for the festival will be on sale shortly, priced between € 25 and € 30 (approx. £ 18 and £ 22). Those wishing to make a holiday weekend of the event can find hotels in the nearby villages of Matar&oaigu; and Masnou. Alternatively, Tiana is about a 30-minute drive from the centre of Barcelona. For those flying in, Barcelona's international airport, El Prat, is about 30 kilometres from Tiana (18 - 19 miles) and costs about € 50 by Taxi (£ 37).

There are numerous sightseeing opportunities nearby, apart from Barcelona's renowned attractions. Tiana even has it's own Gothic Cartesian Monastery, el Monasterio de Montealegre, dating back to the 13th century.

We certainly hope that the location of the festival will please many of you outside of the UK, and prove much more amenable in terms of travel arrangements. We also hope to see many people from the UK! After all, what better excuse for a holiday on the Costa Brava!?

¡Salud y Hasta Pronto!
