Has anyone else noticed, that almost every Magenta song seems to be about reaching out through something or towards something? I mean, I love their music... But at some point I realised this theme repeats itself in almost every song/lyrics. And for some strange reason it really irritates me, sounds kind of pretentious.

I was listening to Journey's End here which starts with these exact words, and it gave me the thought of writing this here. Really, nowadays when I hear someone mention reaching out, I immediately think of Magenta. Or vice versa, some talk about AMgenta and I think of reaching out, though the latter happens more seldom.

I used to like this band, but there are way too many ballads and singer/songwriter moments for my tastes...
