Well, could you enlighten me?

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

The white-haired colonel leaned back in his chair and stroked his bushy moustache. "Ah, General Polls", he said dreamily. "Now there was a man who knew no fear! I once saw him listening to a Back Street Boys concert all the way through. I myself had to plug my ears after five minutes, but he did not waver at all. It was only by a nervous twitching of the little finger of his right hand that you could tell the pain he was going through, but he kept a dead pan. Yes, General Polls. Had it not been for him we would have been overrun by hordes of mainstream musicians who had banded together to invade us. But he just stood there, fiercely holding to his axe, sending power chord after power chord at them, followed by arpeggios and runs up and down the neck, until they lay whimpering at his feet, begging for mercy. Pass me that bottle again, Percy. Ah, that's great! Now where was I (burp)? Oh yes, General Polls. I still remember how he died. He was attacked by a bunch of whackos blasting Barbara Streisand at him while they were wearing i-pods on which they were listening to Michael Jackson. He fought bravely, but none of his power chords could get through to them. His last sustained note continued for two minutes after he had died." The colonel wiped his tear-stained eyes. Then he cried out "This one's for General Polls", took another healthy (or rather unhealthy) gulp from his flask and collapsed in his wheelchair.

I think he led the revolt against Soviet occupation. Anyway, reminds me of a Dairy Queen I visited in Texas that had a clear prejudice against East Europeans, they had one sign in the parking lot that said "watch out for poles" and another on the front door that said "we do not accept checks". I'm not making this up, it's in Longview out near the interstate.

You're going to be really embarrassed if there actually was a General Polls. Nice set of choices refreshingly untainted by selections.

I'm sure Poland had quite a few generals. I mean, their army wasn't that small during WWII. What a silly question.

He works alongside General Ignorance on Q.I., as well as thinks up all of those very important MORI polls that I never hear about until afterwards.
Why is it when they say "we asked a selection of people from many different backgrounds", that I have never been approached?

Is it because they don't feel that the demographic of "sneaky chip non-buyer" is appropriate?
Damn.

I was always under the impression that General Polls was the last great Viking warrior.

I really want to vote to destroy this poll's virginity but (a.) I wanna see how long it takes for someone to vote, and (b.) No idea what I would choose. guessing I'm not the only one in this boat. Oh, I got it. I think you're getting General Polls confused with this dude: I get them mixed up all the time.
