^ which samples?

I can only recommend this DVD to any Zappa fan ... it's a TV show, sound quality is excellent compared to any bootleg you may find.

I think I saw Zappa live, in person (must add that caveat), for the first and unfortunately last time around that time.

Are you messin' with my nakkins?Tongue

Black Napkins was the opening title ... it should *not* keep you from buying the DVD, it does get much better later on, and we're talking about a two hour gig!

I've had this concert on VHS since the 80's and I've been waiting for the ZFT to remaster it. It was a simulcast concert on MTV and "STARFLEET RADIO" (which is amusing when Zappa says it). This is a great show. It's material from the Tinsel Town Rebellion and You Are What You Is period, so it's got stuff like Fine Girl, Goblin Girl, Pick Me I'm Clean, Charlie's Enormous Mouth, Stevie's Spanking, Beauty Knows No Pain, Teenage Wind, Sinister Footwear. This is Vintage Vai (blue hair). Chad Wackerman looks about 12 years old. Tommy Mars wears a tie dyed cave man shirt. Bobby Martin sings really high. I've watched this many, many times. It's fabulous. About time.
