I was recommended this band in an Opeth thread from another forum. Some moments are rather death metal (in the same way Death's Sound of Perseverance is death metal), but in the song I'm listening to now, it is prog as if Ayreon, Spock's Beard, Opeth, and Dream Theater were molded into one instrumental section.

Did I mention this album (Core) has 4 songs, 3 of which are over 20 minutes long?

Sounds great to me. It's the most interesting I've ever heard that's so closely related to death metal.
