Hiromi Uehara ist an absolutely AMAZING Jazz-Fusion Artist! She plays virtuosic, melodic, keyboard-driven
Fusion, often with an eastern-asian touch! It's really a shame that she still isn't in the archives, cause shes one of the most progressive artists around! You really should listen to her music! I suggest watching this great video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00fKuTD52gQ |

I totally agree. She's like a young, female reincarnation of Chick Corea or Keith Emerson. (I believe she's been praised by both of these musicians.) Her solos (whether on piano, Hammond organ or synth) are great fun, and she possesses a quality which is very rare among modern jazz/fusion artists: she writes melodies which are memorable, thoroughly original AND sophisticated. Surely it'll only be a matter of time before she is accepted here!

I thought she was in the Archives.
![]() I guess not. She's awesome, in a youtube vid you could see her play with Chic Corea. |

AS I wrote in April in response to the last thread on Hiromi
http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=47936&KW=hiromi I wish the search engine here was much better, since her name comes up (for good reason) irregularly and for several years. |

Jazz-rock conspiracy? Zappa and Miles played at the same festivals in the summer of '69 right BEFORE Hot Rats AND Bitches Brew were recorded. |
