Topic: Koenjihyakkei Albums Posted: June 28 2008 at 15:09 |
It's about time this awesome, innovative modern band gets some attention 'round these parts. I'm still missing the debut and I'll hold my vote for now as I'm still unsure, but which of these stellar releases is your personal favorite? I thought it'd be interesting to garner some discussion about this band and also see which release fans prefer. Well, what do you think?

Angherr Shisspa, much love to the first two, though.
Nivraym's the only weak one in the lot.

I only have Ni and Angherr Shisspa so I wont vote, but Ni would get it if I did.
Awesome band!

Great band! Angherr Shisspa is my favourite (awesome!). I don't consider any of the releases to be weak.

Nivraym's first three songs are awesome IMO, but then it really nosedives into blandness.

Angherr Shisspa is probably within my all time top 5 albums. The others are excellent too, though. I think they get better chronologically, personally.

Love all of them, but Angherr Shisspa is first in my list of likings and their first one right after that.

Agreed with Avestin about the first one being their second best, forgot to mention that.

Awesome responses so far, guys. Though... I am a bit puzzled. What's with the lack of love for Nivraym? I finally made my decision and gave my vote to that one because it's probably my favorite 65% of the time... Even though I really need their debut!! I just got Angherr, which I loved, but I suppose I really should listen to it more (according to this poll).

I like Nivraym a great deal. It's probably been my most listened to Koenjihyakkei album next to Angherr Shisspa (Angherr Shisspa is just such a very terrific album, I feel).

I can't vote having only heard the middle two albums.I prefer "Ni" to "Nivryam" though.

I really like them all, 2 is probably the one I've listened to the most, their 1st DVD is also amazing, sometimes I'll throw it on, not to watch, but just to listen to the live renditions-its got great sound,

Can't vote - only heard 'Angherr Shisspa' - but I must express some Koenji-love: - because if it wasn't for the first song on that album, I wouldn't even be here, pestering you all for recommendations, and having my current musical adventure.

Same here, except I'll take Nivraym over Ni. I love Lussesoggi Zomn too much

I was waiting for you to post. Wait a minute! You're a liar! You told me you preferred Ni!! You're not allowed to change your mind. P.S.: Yes, Lussesoggi Zomn pwns, and it's one of the main reasons I did vote for Nivraym.

Lussesoggi Zomn is reason enough for Nivraym to exist... if only the rest of it held up (only the first two tracks do IMU[bm]O)
