Topic: Chris Neal - Aussie Crossover Posted: July 11 2008 at 03:19 |
Chris Neal is a multi-instrumental artist in the mould of Mike Oldfield, with a touch of the David Greenslade and occasional Kieth Emerson vibes about him.
He released one album in 1974 - Winds Of Isis - that is fairly heavy on mellotron. After this he has pretty much plied his trade as a composer of sound tracks.
WOI is a definite progressive work, though not overly complex. As this seems to be Chris Neal's only album release I am of the opinion he sould be added to PA.
Sample files of WOI ao on their way to the band submissions gmail address.
If approved, I am happy to do the bio, etc.
Cheers,
Coops

Let's hope it will be approved--wich should be no problem.WOI is a gorgeous piece of symphonic prog with clasical trimmings in the Mike Oldfield/Wakeman/ Moraz traddition.
Just like Oldfield,Neal seems to be playing a thousand instruments.

He composed the theme tune to Farscape ----
Xover would love to hear Winds of Isis.
