I suggested it a while back to the JRF team; Don't remember what was the response, if any.

Thanks Assaf; I was just about to suggest this to the JRF and metal teams for their insight.  I've been thinking that it may be a good one for heavy prog, but in this case I wonder if the myspace tracks are sufficient for decent evaluation -- the albums may be sufficiently different from eachother in terms of dominant styles that it will need more music for effective evaluation.  Though sometimes described as jazz rock/ metal fusion, my impression was that it did not fit either well (will listen again later).

I hope some others will know this band reasonably well and post their thoughts in this thread as I have only heard the myspace tracks (which I came across accidentally).

I have their latest album and based on that alone I'd say JRF is suitable.
However, like you say, the other releases may be different in style.
They're a fun band to listen to!

Excellent -- think you and Rico are on the same page.  Will be interesting to hear what the JRF team thinks.  It is a fun band, I really enjoyed those tracks (particularly "Peckno Techno Boy" off their Bienvenue album).  I know that music is not borne in a vacuum, but I feel like I already know much of their music when I listen to it (very familiar riffs).

Incidentally, I should mention (Rico pointed it out to me) that there are full tracks availbale on Godin's website (the one listed as the official one on myspace): http://www.christophegodin.com/

Here's the direct link to the page with mp3s: http://www.christophegodin.com/english/media.html
I'm going to have a listen to some of those later.

I've got these three albums by them:

Morglbl Trio
Bienvenue A Mörglbl Land
Grotesk

and I would say they qualify. Good suggestion!
