Just purchased two tickets for October 16th in Montreal. I cannot believe he's coming here. I discovered him about a year ago, this is awesome. I don't suppose he does a Meet & Greet like Fish before each concert?

This SUCKS! I only recently have discovered the greatness of Hammill and VdGG, and I miss his NYC shows by a few weeks...

Just thought I'd bump this up as tonight is the start of the tour. And Peter is very approachable and friendly. When I saw VdGG in '05 seven times there was no 'meet and greet' sort of thing because that was BIG ROCK mentality, where the band plays to a big auditorium in front of 2,000 fans and they have a big road crew, etc.
But Hammill playing live solo in N. America is totally different. Small clubs, very intimate, etc. In '90, when I saw him several times, he would often be around after the shows signing autographs, etc. Very friendly person, more than willing to sign stuff and take pictures with fans, etc.

Saw PH in Milwaukee the other night. Excellent show, and he did come out afterwards to meet with the fans, sign stuff, take pictures, etc.

Last night's set list.
Chicago, Abbey Pub:
My Room Just Good Friends Meanwhile my Mother The Unconscious Life Vision
Modern Ophelia Our Eyes give it Shape (On Tuesdays she used to do) Yoga Slender Threads Sci-finance
Bubble Easy to Slip Away A Better Time Still Life
Encore: Chicago
Just a phenomenal show. People were walking around stunned and emotional afterwards. I'd seen him in Milwaukee two nights before. That was good too (I realize I've already posted that it was 'excellent'), but last night's gig was unbelievable and much better (totally different set list too).
Chicago prog band Cheer Accident (stripped down to an acoustic duo for this gig) opened and were very well received.
