Topic: My Musical Commute Posted: July 14 2008 at 15:15 |
I have a long commute each weekday to and from London. Listening to prog keeps me sane. On this thread, I'll share with you the details of my daily listening schedule. Mostly I will be playing randomly selected albums on my iPod, occasionally switching to selecting albums I wish to play. So here we go: 14th July Podcast of Interstellar Overdrive @ ProgRock.com (hosted by Joel Craig) Areknamés - Areknamés (2003) Eclectic Prog (Italy) Détras del Umbral - Nexus (1999) Symphonic Prog (Argentina)

First of all, I love the screen name - not too many Takeshi Kovacs fans in my circle of friends. The long commute is a blessing and a curse. You can use it for those Neal Morse epics that you never have time for otherwise, but you may need something a bit more atmospheric to 'stay sane'. You've got a nice mix going - and, of course, I love the Tangerine Dream. Looking forward to seeing more suggestions here.

I just finished up Kaipa's Mindrevolutions in the car. Like the band, but really wish they had different vocalists.

I like the Comus album, but not heard the other one. I'm still having the iPod select my listening fare at random at the moment, so sometimes get to listen to something I've ignored for a while.
