I was going to post something like that, but I thought my Magma comment was more fitting for me personally to make. Tongue

And if you did get a 145, it looks like you were at least born somewhat brilliant. LOL

On a serious note, I agree. The fact that people think they can determine "intelligence" with a test baffles me. But like previously stated, it's good for a laugh and should be taken with a grain of salt.

The last time I took a 'proper' test I got 120, so I picked that in the poll, but on that online quiz thing I got 136!  Not bad for a girl, huh??!! LOL

(Especially not bad for a girl who is tired and doesn't feel very well... Dead)

Well I am completely useless at those mathematical tests but I'm not bad at the Literacy and Pattern Matching ones.

However because the majority of IQ/Mensa tests I have looked at, consist of a lot of mathematics, I end up getting low scores.

So I agree with Chris Syzygy on this.

Haha, I'm way ahead of you on that one...  Listened to the BBC Londres version whilst taking the test!! Tongue  (I guess that accounts for the raised score...?)

Not copying, just providing some empirical evidence for your thesis. Tongue

The trick is to guess the maths ones if you can't work them out.  You have a 50/50 chance of being right, even if you are rubbish at maths.  (Er, like me...) Big%20smile

That's what I do... I guess I choose the wrong answer every time. LOL

It's all those:

If Dave has 20p in one pocket, consisting of 5 pennies, how fast is he travelling down the M4 and at what speed must he be going for all his first 5 pence to fall out of his pocket?

LOL

That's the questions I hate.

You mean the personality type one?

Your Type is
INTJ
IntrovertedIntuitiveThinkingJudging
Strength of the preferences %
89257589

You are:
  • very expressed introvert
  • moderately expressed intuitive personality
  • distinctively expressed thinking personality
  • very expressed judging personality

That's what I got the first time. The second time I was a bit higher on "Thinking"... it fits me way too well. I'm definitely an analyst. Tongue

Hence I do better at mathematics, I've always been that way.

Interesting!  I got INFP, which supposedly correlates with linguistic gifts. Tongue

It seems like there are a lot of introverts on this forum, and now it seems like there are a bunch of geniuses too.  Wow, I'm moving in exalted circles... LOL

I find that particular personality test is much more accurate than most other tests I've ever taken. It fit me to a T and also everyone else to whom I showed it. I also like how it shows the percentages of how much someone goes to a certain leaning, as I'm the type of person who just loves looking at numbers and statistics. Tongue

Well, could you imagine someone with subnormal intelligence enjoying prog and going onto a website to talk about it?
LOL

But yeah, it definitely helps feel more at ease with people here more than anywhere else. It's funny really, but it makes perfect sense.
Tongue
