Raw Material can't be considered as a bad choice but Out of focus is stronger and darker.LSB is outstanding!

In and Out of Focus is great record of Focus (Dutch band). So I'll choose that one Approve.

If the question is whether material lacking focus or unpolished is better, I certainly prefer 'raw'. Aimless meanderings don't often work for me.

Ok ! now we know! i do like OUT OF FOCUS a lot, the German Soft  Machine! but as i have never heard Raw Material, even the name, can' t vote!

Raw material for me, both albums are strong enoght to give them some spins, specially the one from 1971 (the second), and about Out of Focus, great jazz band from Germany but not outstanding. I prefer Passport for example from german scene.
