I've been obsessed with this band lately, so here's a poll.  Hopes & Fears was my favorite until just now.  I'm in the middle of listening to TWAIIT and it's definitely the best of the three (I had neglected it for a long time...)

Hopes & Fears and Winter Songs are about equal in my mind.  At the moment, I prefer Hopes & Fears but they're really interchangeable.

Amazing band.

In before Lappy: best band ever.  Also, Art Baers.

I voted for Hopes & Fears, but I'm already having buyers remorse.  I need to listen to all of these albums a bit more.  I'm in the category of "I love Henry Cow, and like but don't love Art Bears".  I may even prefer News From Babel, but their records could use some more plays as well.

Great band, their 3 albums are excellent but the one that moves me more is Wintersongs

voted for my favourite album

re: News from Babel - never felt Wyatt fit their sound or that their songs were all that great. and the lol describing the impossible curvature of Klein's bottle arch-dorkness of their lyrics is a little too much

So did you vote for Hopes & Fears or The World As It Is Today?

The World as it is Today was my first and remains my sentimental favourite.  It's between that and Winter Songs, which is brilliant , I think, and like the debut considerably as well.  I haven't been listening to much AB over the last months, as I rather overplayed AB and related projects.  As for News From Babel, since it's been mentioned, I bunt myself out on that -- absolutely loved it, but after a while it seemed a little, well, shallow.  Still play it and like it considerably.

edited for name transference.

Exatcly the same as Logan. All of it.
Over land and under ashes
In the sunlight, see - it flashes
Find a fly and eat his eye
But don't believe in me
Don't believe in me
Don't believe in me

See, I like that Wyatt one a lot better, for whatever that's worth.

I also like Letters Home a lot and didn't actually like the Krause track as much. LOL

I haven't heard enough Art Bears to be able to vote... but I am also preferring New from Babel. Wink

I found Hopes and Fears randomly in a Mitchell Book's (dunno if it's national) for $3. Jeluz?

S'ok.

Winter Songs, though all 3 albums are essential.
