I was very sceptical re this production, given the fact it was a result of that execrable TV show, but the reviews are pretty good & the clip I saw on TV a while ago seemed about as good as West End revivals get.

Still - can't beat the original Artful Dodger, can you (more's the pity)?

Sorry 'bout the small piccie - the only one I could find.

it's easy:  crisps are chips, chips are fries, and you really don't want to ask anyone for a fag... Big smile
But trousers are pants! That really confused my sons when we went to Florida a few years back.

And my youth was severely damaged when I saw Sidney Poitier pat his wife on the bottom in a film and he made some comment about patting his wife "on the fanny". That confused me for years. LOL

^^ I'm quite sure he's neither of those things GK, and I'm also quite sure he'll be back on PA at some stage today... he's rarely away for more than 24 hours...Wink

I was however wondering why, if you're seeking serenity and peace in your life, you've opted to start a family...Wink

24 hours? With his post rate, 24 minutes is more likely.

But trousers are pants! That really confused my sons when we went to Florida a few years back.

Equally confused was my father when visiting London about 20 years ago, wishing to buy a pair of trousers.  He asked where to find pants, and the nice, polite English salesman dutifully brought him to the underwear section.

Dad:  "No, sorry, I was looking for pants".
Salesman:  "But these are pants sir, they're right here in this display".
Dad:  "I mean PANTS" (tugs at trousers).
Salesman:  "Ah, so you want to see some trousers, sir!  Righty-o"

LOL

Forgot, same sort of thing happened to me:

When I was in a London hotel, and saw a sign that said "LIFT", and had to stand there in confusion for a bit wondering what the hell I was supposed to lift.  Wink

OK, so I just thought I'd let you all know that I have found a thoroughly marvellous deal on an MP3 player (can't you all tell I'm not in work today??LOLEmbarrassed).

Anyway, I've had it with carrying a Sony Walkman CD player around the hostel while I'm cleaning, so I asked around for the ideal companion, and came across this little beauty in a massive Argos sale:

Argos is by FAR the cheapest for this model at the moment, and the 16gb memory will hold almost half your prog collection...RESULT!!..Cool

(hope you didn't mind my sharing this with you all...Embarrassed)

I've had a Sony NW-A3000 hard drive walkman for nearly three years now and can recommend it above one of those flippin' ipods.
