^^ My word Sir, you have been purchasing... Cool

pop into the Shed 2 Gazebo thread (General Discussions) to see my comment about the Delain gig I went to last November.. one of my partner's fave bands, so I've been 'subjected' to that album quite a bit during 2014.. LOL

saw Panic Room in concert in their early days; I like Anne-Marie's voice.

Saving myself for the new... Blind Guardian, Angra, Nightwish, Arcturus, Kamelot, Vanden Plas etc... Embarrassed

My friend it has been a pretty good length of time since I've made a nice splurge like this. It feels good.
Just have to wait a good 2 to 3 weeks to get them all!
Anyway your upcoming lists looks like a list I will be all over as well, especially PT2 of the path of the netherworld from vanden. My god I can't wait. :)
Also, that ANGRA sounds very appealing as well, but my most anticipated album for 2015 has to be the "UNQUIET SKY' by ARENA. Love this band. Heavy Neo Prog at its best!

And since we are in the purchases tread, have you heard of the Prog super group that is "HEADSPACE" ?
Omg get the album "I AM ANONYMOUS" if ya haven't already.
Something tells me that back in 2012 this album didn't escape you.
I honestly feel, as of right now, that Damain Wilson is the best male vocalist in Prog metal right now. His range is unbelievable. He doesn't just 'kill' in threshold. :)

Oh I know you do, Audun. It's really hard to lay off sometimes, but my inner Prog needs more fuel from time to time. :)
Glad to hear seven impale made it pretty high up with you for 2014. All the more reason to get very excited to hear this one. :)
I will of course let ya know how I enjoy this one. Also, sorry once again to put GRAND GENERAL on the back burner...yet again.

^^ heard the Headspace on Spotify, but didn't buy it (may still do; sounded great though).

Still have the two 'Epysode' albums sat on the listening pile... I imagine they'd be up your street?

Recently, I've been re-visiting Andromeda, Serenity, Vanishing Point, Seventh Wonder & Pain of Salvation among other things, besides a number of corset-core (love that tag!) bands which Sue has been winging my way. Taking her to see Sirenia & Leaves Eyes in May, so they've been getting a bit of a bashing.. Wacko

^ go for it!! crank it and love it. That's what I always say.
Sounds like your partner in crime is in a great headspace with you.
Happy to her it.
Also, epysode is a band I haven't ventured with just yet. I did like that phantasmagoric track.
Man. So many great albums came out in 2013 it was insane. :)

I went to my local record store and spent two hours looking through their "3 for 5" CD deal wall. Pretty much around 1 thousand CDs ranging from sountracks from Godzilla, Thelonious Monk, every 90's/20's alt band, to avant punk stuff. Just oddities that can't be placed into a proper category at the store. Found some interesting stuff.

King of Spain - Entropy

Some dark sounding acoustic music with real cool textures.

Kosma - Universal

Trip/Hop and Acid-Jazz'ish music from '90s Germany. Typically not my thing, but the cover was cool and sounded pretty interesting.

Hope of the States - The Lost Riots

Kinda like Smashing Pumpkins if they were more post-rock oriented.

The Shins - Oh Inverted World

By far the most popular buy, some quality indie-rock.

Windsor for the Derby - Difference and Repetition

Awesome find. A Young God Record album that just has some great grooves.

Jakob - Subset of Sets

Another great find. One of my favorite PR bands out there.

Crushed like a rose in the riverflow.

Well dammit I love that woman too!!

I don't know why I have been putting off buying that one. I guess the live at Luna park dvd is still tying me over?
I don't know. I'm a huge DT fan, yet I have not bought this one yet.

Anyway. Found out today that my 10 cd order that I made, 7 of them have been shipped already.
My mail box should have some company this week. :)

Happy listening Jared. Let me know how you enjoy that DVD concert. :)
