Re: Megadeth - Dystopia. Pretty impressive overall.
The Slayer album.........well...........I've never been a fan of their craft, however, I can feel when a band is running on vapours. Here is one sloppy, try-hard, by-the-numbers 'Thrash' album. It barely thrashes, it sounds somewhat......flat. All I can say is " Bring back Lombardo ".   They really are the weakest of the 'Big 4'.
ANTHRAX - the ultimate heroes !!
MEGADETH - the flamboyant, complex show-offs, but I love 'em
METALLICA - business as usual
SLAYER - try-hard, getting old - they truly wasted themselves over time.

It's O.K. It's just missing the viciousness that they had back in the day. It's heavy a.f. but Mr. Araya isn't the same these days. I guess they can't be their youthful selves anymore, but I guess, being Slayer, I expected something a bit more head splitting.

David, what are "pink ears"?

A strong recommendation from the lobe can emanate pink. It's a Danish thing.

Btw just received my 4 LP Thundercat boxset Beautiful ruby red vinyl too!
Oh and I have been very foolish and rebought Pond's Man It Feels Like Space Again, Lindstrřm's Where You Go I Go Too, Funkadelic's Maggot Brain (peach coloured no less), Goat's Requiem, Klaus Johann Grobe's Spagat der Liebe and Circle's Pharaoh Overlord - all on vinyl (what's even more foolish is that I can't play these records before I find a new apartment ).
Another new vinyl order is Klaus Johann Grobe - Im Zinne Der Zeit. Can't wait to hear this debut after having fallen completely for Spagat der Liebe.

Are you saying your ears turn pink when you listen to something very enjoyable?
You might want to have a doctor look at that!
