Dixie Dregs - Night of The Living Dregs
Weather Report - I Sing The Body Electric
Tasavallan Presidentti - Tasavallan Presidentti II
Tasavallan Presidentti - Lambertland (This one was actually a surprise; the copy of Tasavallan Presidenti II I bought actually had this entire album as its bonus tracks! Nothing like getting two albums for the price of one.)

Nice haul! The Tatvamasi, Nisennenmondai and Camembert are all killer IMO. The IB initially impressed but I'm not sure if it's going to be a stayer. Weserbergland I bought but it has really not made much impression on me.

Thanks! Yeah, the Camembert is certainly a great one. I was initially not in love with the drumming but I've softened on that as I continued to listen, especially as everything else is pretty much wonderful. Good to hear re Tatvamasi and Nisennemondai. I would have liked to preview the IB first but I couldn't find samples anywhere so I just took the risk (as I like many things that have done). Funnily enough, I initially dislike the Weserbergland and had no desire to buy it. But as I relistening to it for the collabs poll something just clicked. Not a five star album, but definitely something I will be returning to and enjoying from time to time.

I probably need to give both of these more time, really. The IB in particular is very dense music, it may be that it will open up with more spins. Weserbergland I bought on my general principle that if Mattias Olsson is involved, I should own it. And on initial listens it has passed in a pleasant-sounding blur. Possibly just indicating that I should pay more attention!

Well dense is good. And my general impulse is to sample these days...even if I assume I'll like it (like a majority of Altrock's releases for example).

And I can't explain why the Weserbergland changed dramatically for me but sometimes things are like that.
