I like it more than I thought I would. Any Mogwai album is pretty much an automatic purchase, but I wasn't as excited about this one because I sensed the band settling into a formula. A good formula, but predictable nonetheless. But what I forgot is that even within the formula they try to bring one or two new things into the mix each time. And that's the case here. Each song has its own personality, and though there's nothing too surprising, they're all just good Mogwai tunes we haven't heard before. It felt like hanging out with an old friend and remembering why you had so many good times in the past. So thumbs up. If you like the group, you'll like the album.
