Hey Doug, does The Complete RCA Collection include a recording of the fantastic Toscanini conducting the Beethoven's Concert No.5 For Piano and Orchestra? It would be awesome!

About 20 years ago I lost a Deutsche Grammophon recording in 'cassette-tape' of that concert conducted by Herbert Von Karajan (it was my Dad's, he gave it to me), but at that time unfortunately I didn't pay much attention to who was the pianist of the concert. And till now I haven't found it neither in CD Stores nor on the Web... and figure that I don't find either another recording as especial as that one was.

I don't give up looking for another recording featuring an alike performance of for instance the bombastic and groundbreaking piano intro and the whole first movement , one that has the same bursting energy and grandeur of that piano playing!

You know Doug that Beethoven is my favourite composer, and that piano concert ('the emperor') is my very favourite of all times. That recording has been my most wanted amongst my vast list of music recording that I'm looking forward to purchasing. Do you have some you would suggest me to look for? Thanks anyways.

Well I just purchased the ELO box set.....something like a dozen albums.   I know they're not exactly beloved in these parts but I'm looking forward to the immersion.  I've only heard a couple of their album.  And since I have no problem with cheesier "pop prog" stuff I think I will enjoy the ride.
