Yesterday I went to Barnes and Noble and bought Sleater-Kinney's "Dig Me Out" on vinyl (B&N recently started stocking vinyl. They've got a surprisingly good selection though it's expensive af) and Nirvana - "Live at Reading" on CD. Latter is a fantastic album with great songwriting, amazing performances all around, and it perfectly showcases with S-K is all about. The latter is a good show, though not their best. Great for Nirvana lovers like me, might be unsatisfactory for others. Also bought the Silmarillion for when I finish reading LotR.

Personally The Woods is one of my least favorites of theirs. I'm glad they experimented from their established sound, as all good bands should, but the couple of listens I've given it have been no more than fairly enjoyable. Not a lot of songs grab me and it feels a little less vital to me. But whateves, to each their own.
