As newly appointed treasurer of the Lord of the Rings fan club that met at the neighborhood library, Natalie was walking on air.

So this other day I went into the bank and the bank told me it was sad. I asked the bank why it was sad and the bank said it was driving all night and crashed its spaceship-moped into the fountain and in doing so lost its yam sack. I said to the bank its ok because you're a bank and have no need for yams.

Then the bank ate me.

I've seen this before, it's all too familiar-- the peacock, the banana peels, newspaper open to the TV section...

I had a gong once. It was shiny and oval shaped. Then I dropped it down the stairs. It became less shiny, and slightly dented but still realitivly elliptical. Curiously, when it hit the landing at the bottom of the stairs, it set off a sequence of events that resulted in the destruction of the western half of the universe. The gong also burst into flame. Perhaps even more curious is that everytime I hit the gong great grave sea beasts raise from the ocean depths and starts to consume humanity in its massive grotesque maw.

It still sounds good though.

I find closets too hospitable. Usually I prefer a good cardboard box or cigarette carton.
