I'm wandering through diverting land of prog archives and wondering if anyone has heard about the rebirth of Stackridge recently.  I unearthed a copy of their live DVD "The Forbidden City" the other day and was astonished at how good songs like "Purple Spaceships over Yatton" and "Teatime" sounded.  The near original line up produces a great sound

The upcoming gigs at Boardwalk, Sheffield (Sept 5), Fibbers, York (Sept 6), Stables, Milton Keynes (Sept 12), Brook, Southampton (Sept 17), David Hall Arts Centre, South Petherton (Sept 19), Flowerpot, Derby (Sept 20) and New Bull & Butcher, Whetstone (Sept 27) should afford many the chance to check out Stackridge 'live' for themselves and see just why this band is so good.

What with further dates in October, November and December and yet more in '09 and new new CD planned for around May 2009, together with the reissued, refurbished back catalogue CDs available via Angel Air, there really can be no excuse for either revisiting the Stackridgean world or exploring it (like Dora) for the first time.

I can promise you that you won't be disappointed!

Saw the DVD and I think I reviewed it here.  Loads of fun to watch!
