Topic: Geddy Lee vs Just a few keyboard dudes Posted: August 23 2008 at 10:34 |
This is a test poll , to find something out about polls, names of bands these keyboard players are from have been purposely left out.

I don't see Geddy as a keyboardist. He is a Bassist.

Steve Walsh. The choice would have been less easy if Martin Orford was included.

So good to see Walsh in the lead. One amazing keyboardist, in my opinion.

Geddy Lee is a keyboardist, but his work is usually limited to synth work and some piano.
Steve Walsh for me, definitely.

I can't understand why Geddy Lee would have as many votes as he does. Really- the man's a bass god, but for keyboards? Are we rating his bass playing against keyboard players' keyboard playing?
I'm puzzled.

^I must agree, even though I don't know the rest of the key men, except for Steve Walsh..
No vote.

Went with Kit, really loved his keys with Happy the Man and Camel. Mark Robertson and Steve Walsh round out the top 3 for me.

Trendt Garner was a chance, but Steve Walsh is by far a stronger keyboardist.
Geddy is out of his league, ge's a bass player and a vocalist.

The Rush fanboyism is showing through here. I don't know all of these guys, There is no way Geddy is a better keyboardist than the ones I am familiar with from this list. Don't get me wrong, I think he's a great musician, but come on!

Walsh, but what is this "test" you speak of?
To see how many Rush fanboys/fangurls vote for Geddy?

I haven't heard any of the other players, so I voted Geddy.

yeah that was on my mind a bit so I grabbed some great keyboard players not mentioned much and thought I'd put them up against Geddy mostly for fun because even I love Geddy but I didnt vote for him on this poll even though I would vote for him on any bass player poll I think

If Steve Walsh doesn't win this, then something is very wrong.
