From Hawkwind  MySpace Blog

Jason Stuart

We are very sorry to have to let you know, that our keyboard player Jason Stuart is seriously ill.
On Friday he was rushed into hospital with an aneurysm which unfortunately lodged in his brain and caused a hemorrhage.
The doctors have been trying to save his life ever since.
His condition is very serious indeed. Please send positive thoughts and prayers.
We will update you on his condition as soon as we have more news.

Update

This is one of the most difficult things we have ever had to announce, but we have to tell you that unfortunately Jason lost his fight for life today….

We will be posting an obituary later this evening when we feel able and we will be opening a book of condolences.

Goodbye Juice, rest in peace our friend x

Sucks indeed.

Yes; RIP Jason

The funeral's on Thursday 18th. Cards for it can be sent to Hawkwind at the Honiton address (below)... and a bunch of us who can't make it are going to have a two minute silence on Thursday 18th September... at 2.30pm, in memory of Jason.

Hawkwind's website said today (in the Latest News section):

Over the last few days we have been inundated with requests from fans asking if they can send flowers or other tributes. Having consulted with Jason's close relatives and listened to their wishes it is our intention to erect a memorial stone at the grave from the extended Hawkwind family and to organise a fitting Hawkwind inspired floral tribute for the funeral.

The memorial stone will be a permanent reminder to us all of Jason's contribution to Hawkwind. Once in place it will be somewhere for all the Hawkwind family to visit if they so wish. If you wish to make a donation this can be done in 2 ways -

1 - Cheques, made payable to Dave Law. Please send these to PO Box 28, Honiton, Devon, EX14 1PB

2 - Via Paypal, use the "Send Money" feature and use [email protected] as the e-mail to send donations to (you need to have your own paypal account to do this but they are very easy to set up)

By the way, Dave Law is the moderator of Hawkwind's forum.
