'The Way It Is' I thought it was AOR. Definitely agree on that 'up front' drum sound characterised the 80s.

Jordan Rudess...I wonder if that album shows more subtlety in the playing department than his excursions with Dream Theater!

Yes, when I read Jazzwise (my local library has it) I notice the Loughborough charts. There are ones from Zavvi and places like that too, although the jazz section in my local Zavvi has greatly diminished.

  You'll find it is   concentrated jazz/fusion in the first 30min - I have to compile a chart for Jazzwise magazine - but then my brief is play allsort - expect the unexpected.
