Still shifting through a wonderous lot of new music and finding much to air on the show. Just a reminder that I will continue to raid the recorded output of wonder Swedish drummer Morgan Agren in our weekly featured spot (in fact 3 times this Thursday). Plus, having played Mike Bloomfield last week, mindful to play more this week - although dropped the idea of a Two Jews Blues feature  playing Bloomfield and Peter Green(baum) back to back (Q: who were the original 'Two Jews Blues' on record?). Also intending to play more "straight" jazz during the show. Enjoy and don't forget to join in with the off-mike conversations.

With various rock media rattling the cage telling us that AC DC have been around for 40 years (really? I'm still don't think the band is on the top tier wrt it music genre), we'll have half an hour of the original line-up, diluted by 3 quite different interpretations of the band's music from Hellsongs, Jens Thomas (from a  new much acclaimed album) and a really interesting pastiche by Hayseed Dixie. Otherise carried out a brief raid on the ReR specialist label's back catalogue to lift a few avant rock/RIO tunes.  And thanks to Edward of Druckfarben ("printing ink"?) we are sampling this Canadian band's eponymous first album. And as ever there is a lot more to enjoy.

yeah, i don't ever visit PA - i only joined a few years ago to participate in your forum here. of course, i am on PE, yep.

shoot me an email if you get a chance, ok?

and yes, the beard - if i don't shave for a week (seriously) i get that. if it's been a couple of weeks, it's full on. that photo is only one week or so, actually LOL i've got a rather furry face now, having not shaved for a few weeks... but i'll be shaving it off this weekend. my grandkids like it but i don't :P

the show sounds lovely, btw. thanks, as always!
