Closer to the first or the second album?

BTW have you seen any new Jonas Hellborg albums in the last 2 years?

to say truth don't remember clearly the difference between first two E9 albums, this third studio one is quite heavy, but for me too much jamming - too often it sounds that they just don't have material prepared and recording pure improvs

re.Hellborg - as much as I remember - no new music during some last years

what about new McLaughlin's album? my first impression is it burns and smokes, more rock than previous one and it's great to hear how much energy John has

I felt the first was a tribute to a number of classic jazz rock fusion bands of the early 70's. The second sounded psychedelic influenced in places...

followed a link from that AVAX mUSIC site where somebody had reviewed the quality of remastering across all the new reissues, and indicated some RM-ing was #15 years old but most was very recent. However, he wasn't so happy with a few remaster's quality

Clocks have gone back 1 hour locally and Thursday is my first day back at work after a calendar month of retirement!!!

Sue, the Roxy Perry albums got through, many thanks and are featured. Deep in the archives, found some 1965 John McLaughlin recordings with Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker...... Otherwise the usual mish-mash of music and styles...

NOTE: there is an additional click on link. I'm also assuming clocks went back in the USA last weekend - if not then the repeats will start at 9pm, not as advertised at 8pm!

The amazing near-instant feedback upon playing Roxy Perry last week - e.g. quote "hey man that's real blues" - means more this week. Also blues taken from Paul Butterfield and Lester Butler. Intrigued to see a duo written up also as song-writing cross between Nick Drake and Bacharach/David, so couldn't resist (Must dig out Bumblefoot's interpretation of the latter. The week old release from Elephant9 has hardly came off the Discman this weekend - I'm a glutton for heavy jazz fusion, so one of the long tracks; (IMHO, better than their last but lacks the variety heard on the band's first). Called it 'payola" but I don't - instead, support indie artists who can't afford the publicity of a record company..... two indie bands worth supporting, US based  Georgia Soul Council and (I think) UK-based Perhaps:
