Via Itunes Exclusive, you can download 'The Maze' EP featuring the Title Track to the Album, an isntrumental version of 'XanaX' (as heard on radio stations) which on the finished album will feature Damian Wilson of Threshold on lead vocals, so its a rarity. Along with Rusty Razor the Heavy 8 minute epic with Kenneth's Original Vocals which on the 2CDer are recorded by Marko Eskola of Farmakon. EP is ended with the Original Demo version of 'Always Falling' a radiohead like mumble-lead vocal soft song. Exclusive original song format as on the actual album the song has nearly an extra 2 minutes tapped at the end featuring kenneth growling deep guttural growls to downtuned guitars and static, and insane metal drumming, and then into neo-60's hippie-groove with the same drum beat.

Get this EP to help fund Galexia along with having this excluse Itunes EP as part of your metal collection. It can be downloaded here.

I am Kenneth Joseph Spaziani of Galexia, Yes.

It is through my label Astral Sun Records. Just informing everyone as the quarter for itunes payments is late oct, and rose of thorns hit top 100 in some euro countries, trying to get it higher or the EP in the top 100 heat seekers anywhere.

Spread the word!

Article on Ytse-Jam soon, and Blabbermouth.net is usually right on top whenever I release any news but is slow, so I may have to submit a report this time. Popped up rather quickly I didn't even know the EP was up yet on itunes until I got a phone call stating it had potential to hit charts and the first two tracks have been on rotation on various US, German, British, Finnish, Dutch, and Swedish radio stations. The same two tracks have also been on HEAVY rotation along with the two debut singles (rose of thorns with Arjen A Lucassen of Ayreon and recidivate with Damian Wilson of Threshold) on internet radio stations such as "Soundscape".

This Itunes exclusive EP along with Rose of Thorns is allowed by myself to be used streaming on Prog Archives for Galexia's page. (which Apperantly is not up yet? debut has been shaking the prog world (in europe atleast) with its huge names and unique twist on prog metal. Any reason it does not qualify?)
and also free rights to sample into your own music with credit added in linear notes, along with radio / internet radio / Podcast usage for free.

Enjoy the music, and become trapped in "The Maze".

(Or partially, become fully trapped in "The Maze" when the near 3 hour double disc (might even push to become a triple disc sophmore release!) hits retail and digital shelves, this is just a little preview for those wondering about how Galexia transitioned from the Debut phase (material is over 2.5 years old, marketing took forever) to the current phase of endless upgraded equipment, more new synths than I can count, endless guitars and basses with effects, mixers, amazing mics, and more software for me to fine tweak in production.. the new material feels more ALIVE, and ORGANIC. While I was praised for my production choices on the debut, I feel the debut feels very thin and flat in comparison. I released this EP as a preview of what fans can expect from this double or maybe even triple disc epic. Still Churning out plenty of 6+ minute songs, an 8+ minute song is on the EP, and so far the album has two grand epics, the 14 minute+ "Intertia (Fluid Part 2)", and the 17+ minute long (still untitled, but temporarily titled as "Oh my god this rules").

Enjoy

- Kenneth Joseph Spaziani

Also please review the EP on metal archives, and read the reviews of the debut! thanks !

for a quick glimpse, two of my favorite segments of a review is pasted below:

----

"To my good fortune, Galexia aren't your standard prog metal band, in fact, there is so much industrial influence in this release you could almost cut out the progressive tag and just call them industrial, if it wasn't for the epic song lengths and sprawling compositions of course. Along with taking often very Ayreon inspired passages, and then smothering them in a nice thick slab of electronic sound effects, and other industrial touches, such as ultra distorted guitars. Galexia also do a lot of semi ambient work, there's still too much going on to call it pure ambience, more or less along the lines of a softer Porcupine Tree piece, just with a load of spacey sound effects and distortions added."

----

"There are similarities between Ayreon and this band, such as very simplistic riffs when used, and keyboards as the instrument of choice for most songs to build off, or for most of the more complex passages. However this lacks the psychedelic or otherwise 70’s rock influence, and replaces it with heavy alternative and electronic leanings. Where I feel that Spaziani has improved over Lucassens' often boring compositions is the way that he adds sounds, new instruments, and generally manages to just build up volume and energy in a song. Even if it's still pretty much the same piece of music, he develops the songs in an interesting way. Effectively, he does what Strapping Young Lad did after Devin got bored with the project, but where in that band it was annoying as all hell, because all the beeps and noises buried the riffs, it works here. With the tempos and general nature of the music, there isn't any reason for the guitars or any one instrument to need to take control."

They also just released a two track single from the upcoming album the maze due to the EP selling so well, it includes "Empty" which is one of my favorite shorter songs on the CD, and "Liquid (Fluid Part 1)" a short song aswell (its second part being nearly 15 minutes)

the longest songs on the album so far (the debut album with arjen, damian, marko etc is 8 tracks and 56 minutes, with only 6 songs over 6 minutes (what I consider to be an epic) this album thus far has 8 epics out of 28 tracks, the rest of the songs being mostly 4-5 minutes, with about 2-3 3 minute + tunes (such as the thus far hugely succesesful single with the same title as the album "The Maze" clocking in at 3:40 it's the perfect radio song and its popularity is making it so, getting alot of air time!

Opana - 6:38
Delay Effect - 7:23
Solfar Blur - 7:36
Anti-Sanctus Chaotica - 7:47
Rusty Razor - 8:04
Recirculated Air - 8:15
The Pickup - 9:10
Inertia (fluid Part 2) - 14:21
8 epics out of 28 tracks

both discs = 2 hours 38 minutes and 37 seconds

Still might go for the triple disc set up because their is far too much amazing material to cut out. Or i'll release the double disc, and work on another double disc that is a contiuation (or a single disc as a contiuation) depends on how the fans receive the  theme and mood of the album.
